Featured Partnerships
One of the roles for the Military Health System (MHS) Human Capital Office (HCO) is to promote collaboration across various organizations. Our office is leading efforts to create partnerships for the purpose of making a greater impact when addressing healthcare issues. We are working with the organizations below to create and foster partnerships that promote knowledge sharing and provide support services.
- Army Medical Department -The mission of the Army Medical Department is to 1) promote, sustain and enhance soldier health, 2) train, develop and equip a medical force that supports full spectrum operations and 3) deliver leading edge health services to our warriors and military family to optimize outcomes
- Navy Medicine - The mission of the Navy Medical Department is to safeguard the health of Navy and Marine Corps personnel
- Air Force Surgeon General - The mission of the United States Air Force is to fly, fight and win in air, space and cyberspace.
- JTF CapMed - The mission of the The Joint Task Force National Capital Region Medical (JTF CapMed) is to deliver integrated healthcare in the National Capital Region, ensure readiness and execute the Base Realignment and Closure(BRAC) business plan.
- Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) - The Department of Veteran Affairs’ mission is to provide veterans the world-class benefits and services they have earned – and to do so by adhering to the highest standards of compassion, commitment, excellence, professionalism, integrity, accountability and stewardship. - U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (USPHS) - The U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is a team of more than 6,000 full-time public health professionals dedicated to delivering the nation's public health promotion and disease prevention programs and advancing public health science.
- Defense Center of Excellence (DCoE) - The Defense Center of Excellence (DCoE) creates programs to assist with psychological health and traumatic brain injury to ensure the Department of Defense meets the needs of the nation's military communities, warriors and families. - National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) - The National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), opening summer 2010, will be an advanced facility dedicated to the research, diagnosis and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) and Psychological Health (PH) issues.
- Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) - Provides uniformed services members with graduate education in science and healthcare. Programs are related directly to force health protection, tropical diseases, disaster medicine, military and public health medical readiness and adaptation to extreme environments.
- Medical Education Training Campus (METC) - Medical Education & Training Campus: This Tri-Service campus located at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, trains enlisted personnel in over 30 different medical professions.
- Civilian Personnel Management Service (CPMS) - CPMS serves leaders, HR practitioners and civilian employees. There are 13 divisions in CPMS, each with its own programmatic or internal service responsibilities, including policy advisory services and support, leadership development, HR information systems technology and solutions, compensation management (wage and salary surveys), EEO complaints investigations and resolution, civilian recruitment assistance, human capital accountability, injury and unemployment compensation program management, and nonappropriated fund personnel policy support.
