Tuesday, October 06, 2009 - October Is Women’s Health Month
Posted by: Health.mil Staff

Women's Health MonthOctober is Women’s Health Month at health.mil. All month we’ll be highlighting stories and resources relevant to all aspects of women’s health, from breast cancer to pregnancy to women’s health care in theater.

Every woman in DoD’s care should understand the resources available to them and the easy access to quality care within the MHS and TRICARE. To help, we’ve created a women’s health landing page at health.mil/womenshealth. Visit it for links to resources and programs within the MHS and beyond that are dedicated to women’s total health – in body, mind and spirit.

We’ve also launched a new healthy debate here at health.mil in observance of Women’s Health Month. We’re asking you what the Department of Defense should continue, improve or change to better support the health of female service members, particularly the wounded, ill or injured. Click here to join the discussion.
