Mobile Health Summit

From Mobile Health Solutions for International Military Missions, held Dec. 11, 2008 in McLean, Va.

On Dec. 11, 2008, the Military Health System (MHS), held a Mobile Health Summit to explore the possibilities of use for mobile technology in the MHS’s ongoing mission to deliver the highest quality of health care to those who serve and their families.

Health care and public health experts from the State Department, the CDC, the VA, academia, industry, NGOs and the World Health Organization came to the event—the first of its kind—and shared their expertise and knowledge in a topic area that will continue to spark discussion and become ever more relevant as mobile technology becomes a more critical part of the health care equation in the years to come.
