Research: Core to the MHS Mission

Research and medical publications (articles from peer-reviewed medical and scientific journals) are a vital part of the Military Health System. Important articles authored by great minds in the MHS are frequently published in medical journals, and many non-DoD researchers are publishing papers that are nonetheless quite relevant to military medicine.

This section of health.mil will highlight important articles about the most recent research in military medicine inside and outside of the Department of Defense as well as guide you to where you can find more information about this important work.

tricare logo Health Program Analysis and Evaluation Surveys - HPA&E health care scientists collect information to measure beneficiary and staff satisfaction and to support functions such as: strategic planning and marketing; improving quality of care/access; contractual performance; and responding to MHS and DoD requests.
