TRICARE Online (TOL) is the Department of Defense's patient web portal offering TRICARE beneficiaries access to available military health care services including personal health data via the Blue Button, Military Treatment Facility (MTF) appointment scheduling and MTF prescription refills.
The Blue Button feature provides beneficiaries easy access to their personal health data. With the Blue Button, patients can review their medications, allergies, and basic demographic information. They can also view lab results, problem lists and encounter data.
Access to appointment scheduling at TOL offers users an alternative to the limited hours offered by local MTF call centers and helps ease the frustration of wait times. By using online appointing capabilities beneficiaries and their families can schedule, view or cancel appointments their local MTF makes available online 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Patients can also avoid long lines at the pharmacy with the online prescription refill capability. Beneficiaries can order prescription refills, check the status of their prescriptions, and link directly to the TRICARE mail order pharmacy to set up home delivery.
