The National Capital Region Base Realignment and Closure Health Systems External Advisory Subcommittee serves to advise ASD (HA) on issues and activities related to National Capital Region health care realignment as detailed Defense Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission’s September 8, 2005 report, enacted into public law on November 9, 2005. The subcommittee will provide recommendations as they relate to operational changes to military health care delivery in the National Capital Region (NCR) imposed by the Act, which impact academic medical center operations at the Unformed Services University, graduate medical education, health system marketing and planning in the NCR. The subcommittee shall meet as necessary with the approval of the Board for the purpose of addressing requests and issues from the Department. This Subcommittee shall serve as the primary referral group for National Capital Region Base Realignment and Closure health systems issues.
