To augment survey resources, the Patient Safety Program developed an action-oriented guide to assist new Patient Safety Managers. The guide originated from the 2008 Tri-Service Survey on Patient Safety - with the desire to share safety improvement practices underway throughout the MHS.

The Guide includes:

  • MHS results from the Tri-Service Survey on Patient Safety
  • Steps for how to take data and create an action plan for safety improvement
  • Patient safety activities and lessons learned from selected MTFs
