TeamSTEPPS Multimedia Curriculum Kit (CD/DVD): This kit includes materials for presenting train-the-trainer programs for instructors and those needed by team members in training. The kit contains two multimedia disks:

• A CD-ROM with:
  • Files for preparing a loose-leaf Instructor Guide
  • The TeamSTEPPS PowerPoint presentation modules
  • The PDF file of the TeamSTEPPS Pocket Guide
• A DVD with:
  • Introductory videos 
  • Nine video vignettes

Instructor Guide: The TeamSTEPPS Instructor Guide is designed to help you develop and deploy a customized plan to train your staff in teamwork skills and lead a medical teamwork improvement initiative in your organization from initial concept development through to sustainment of positive changes. Comprehensive curricula and instructional guides include short case studies and videos illustrating teamwork opportunities and successes. Supporting materials include a pocket guide (the Essentials Course), CD-ROM and DVD, and evaluation tools. Instructor and Trainer workshop materials focus on change management, coaching, and implementation.

An online Instructor Guide is available to help you deploy a customized plan to train your staff in teamwork skills and to sustain positive changes. Comprehensive curricula (including the Essentials and Fundamentals courses) and instructional guides include short case studies and videos illustrating teamwork opportunities and successes.

Guide to Action: The Guide to Action booklet provides an overview of the TeamSTEPPS system and is intended to aid in determining how to utilize TeamSTEPPS to improve safety and quality of care delivered to patients. It presents an overview of TeamSTEPPS principles, methodologies, training curricula, and resources; and provides a brief discussion of the scientific foundation of TeamSTEPPS. In addition, an evidence-based summary of the benefits healthcare organizations have realized through implementation of a team-related initiative is provided.

Pocket Guide: This is a reference guide for frontline staff who have been trained in TeamSTEPPS, as well as, a guide utilized by trainers to facilitate the TeamSTEPPS Essentials Course. This guide highlights the key principles of TeamSTEPPS, namely Team Structure, Leadership, Situation Monitoring, Mutual Support, and Communication. Within these principles, the guide highlights tools that may be adopted by frontline staff to implement TeamSTEPPS in their facility or organization.

TeamSTEPPS Training Guide: Using Simulation in TeamSTEPPS Training: This guide is a tool for trainers to provide instruction on using simulation-based training when teaching TeamSTEPPS. It integrates critical teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills into simulation-based training, thereby offering strategies and tools that can improve team performance and enhance patient safety.

TeamSTEPPS Rapid Response System (RRS) Module: This evidence-based module will provide insight into the core concepts of teamwork as they are applied to the Rapid Response System. Comprehensive curricula and instructional guides include short case studies and videos illustrating teamwork opportunities and successes. Supporting materials include CD-ROM and DVD, and evaluation tools.

TeamSTEPPS Dental Module: The videos contained within this module show how dental staff who perform oral surgery and general dentistry can use the TeamSTEPPS teamwork, leadership, mutual support, communication, and situation monitoring skills in their practices.

TeamSTEPPS Video Vignettes: A set of videos that highlight the TeamSTEPPS tools and shows examples of how each tool is put into practice. The videos include the following tools: Brief, Call-Out, Check-Back, Cross Monitoring, CUS, Debrief, DESC Script, Feedback, Handoff, Huddle, IPASSTHEBATON, SBAR, STEP, Time Out, and the Two-Challenge Rule.
