1 WEDI is an organization identified in HIPAA law.  SDOs consult with WEDI as it acts as an industry advisor to the Department of Health and Human Services.

2 NCVHS is a statutory public advisory body to the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) on health information policy.  It provides recommendations to HHS for adoption of HIPAA initiatives.  

3 HL7 collaborates with X12 toward adoption and implementation of HIPAA-associated Clinical Attachments initiatives.
