Defense Health Agency Campaign Plan

Our Mission

The Defense Health Agency supports our Nation by improving health and building readiness -- making extraordinary experiences ordinary and exceptional outcomes routine.

Our Vision

Unrelenting pursuit of excellence as we care for our joint force and those we are privileged to serve. Anytime, Anywhere—Always.

DHA Campaign Plan

The DHA Campaign Plan is our approach to executing our four priorities:

Great Outcomes

Ready Medical Force

Satisfied Patients

Fulfilled Staff

The DHA Campaign Plan will be measured by Key Performance Indicators and executed by eight Campaign Plan Strategic Initiatives.

As the health care delivery arm of the MHS, DHA supports the Department of Defense's integrated system of readiness and health. DHA manages a global health care network of military and civilian medical professionals and more than 400 military hospitals and clinics around the world.

As a Combat Support Agency, DHA supports the MHS by providing a medically ready force and a ready medical force to our service partners and combatant commanders.

Readiness is our top priority, and we remain steadfast in our efforts to deliver joint functions and activities enabling the rapid adoption of proven practices, reduce unwanted variation, and improve coordination of joint health care for the warfighter.

By 2026, DHA will be a joint operational headquarters responsible for managing, executing, and delivering high-quality health care, medical education and training, military medical research and development, and public health support to our 9.6 million beneficiaries and the Military Departments. DHA is committed to ensuring uniformed service members are healthy and safe from potential health threats. DHA is devoted to ensuring our health care professionals, who provide care for our forces, receive optimized training, education, and relevant clinical settings to build their skill for deployment. Without our people, the MHS cannot deliver the optimal care our beneficiaries expect and deserve.
