DHA Policy Memo Sending and Receiving PHI by Facsimile 2024 The Department of Defense Manual DoDM 6025.18, Implementation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule in DoD Health Care Programs, requires that DoD covered entities have in place reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the privacy of PHI.
