The Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP) is a Defense Center of Excellence at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. CHAMP conducts and translates total fitness research to improve Military Service Member performance in the field and facilitate return to duty. It is the go-to resource for evidence-based information on human performance optimization (HPO) to improve the performance and resilience of Military Service Members and their families.

The Human Performance Resources by CHAMP (HPRC) translates Human Performance Optimization (HPO) research about physical and mental performance, nutrition, and relationship fitness into practical information for Warfighters, their families, and those in the field of HPO who support them. Operation Supplement Safety (OPSS) is the DOD resource for dietary supplement safety. OPSS is a DOD-wide effort, including partnerships with other government and professional organizations, to provide evidence-based, up-to-date information on dietary supplements. OPSS educates Military Service Members and retirees, their family members, leaders, healthcare providers, and DOD civilians about dietary supplements and gives them the tools to be informed supplement users—or non-users.
