Environmental Fitness is the ability to perform your tasks in any operational environment. We all know instinctively that our environment affects our performance; running a mile in 95 degree heat isn’t the same as an indoor track. We all need to be aware of environmental challenges and make sure they do not pose a threat to our health.
Some environmental factors affect our physical, mental, or spiritual health, and some just affect our ability to complete our job or mission. A well-organized work environment can also optimize performance, enhance mental or spiritual wellness, and help avoid potential hazards.
