U.S. Army Lt. Col. Christinia Rumayor was presented with the Military Health System 2023 Award for the Advancement of Women Physicians in Military Medicine – senior winner, by Dr. Lester Martinez-Lopez, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs; U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Anthony McQueen, Deputy Surgeon General; and U.S. Army Command Sgt. Major Timothy Sprunger, Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Army Surgeon General, on Feb. 15 in National Harbor, Maryland. Rumayor is battalion commander for the 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
