Defense Health Board

The Defense Health Board is a Federal Advisory Committee to the Secretary of Defense that provides independent advice and recommendations on matters pertaining to:

  • DOD health care policy and program management
  • The delivery of high-quality health care services to DOD beneficiaries
  • The promotion of health, wellness, and prevention within the DOD
  • The treatment of disease and injury by the DOD
  • Health research priorities
  • Other health-related matters of special interest to the DOD

Mission

Our mission is to provide independent advice and recommendations to maximize the safety and quality of, as well as access to, health care for Department of Defense health care beneficiaries.

Next Meeting: June 4, 2024

The Defense Health Board will host their next meeting virtually on June 4, 2024.  

To register, please email your name, rank/title, organization/company, and if you would like to attend in person or virtually to dha.dhb@health.milEmail the DHB. Attendance requirements and details will then be provided prior to the meeting.

Future Defense Health Board Meeting Dates:

  • June 4, 2024 - Virtual
  • Sept. 4, 2024 - Falls Church, VA
  • Nov. 19, 2024 - TBD
