Nine Military Hospitals Receive Highest Leapfrog Grade for Safe, High-Quality Care
FALLS CHURCH, Virginia – The Defense Health Agency announced today that nine military hospitals received an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, demonstrating DHA’s commitment to safe, high-quality care and transparency.

A team of surgeons from Walter Reed National Military Medical (WRNMMC) performs the first fully robotic living donor nephrectomy surgery in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore region in 2019. The robotic technology enables a safer surgery for living donors, as well as faster recovery and return to work timeframe, according to surgeons.
