Military medical heroes respond on 9/11
On Sept.11, 2001, the nurses and doctors at the DiLorenzo Pentagon Health Clinic established triage and treatment sites within minutes of impact of the hijacked plane into the building — while the clinic director desperately tried to reach the scene. Ten days later, a military doctor deployed to ground zero in New York City to provide care. These brave military medical professionals answered the call to service on 9/11.
