Advanced Trauma Life Support Course

ATLS® is a two day, tri-service, continuing education, medical course sponsored by the American College of Surgeons.©  ATLS prepares physicians to identify and respond to life-threatening traumatic injuries. We also feature an ATLS-Operational Emphasis course that runs simultaneously with regular ATLS courses. The ATLS-OE course provides students with knowledge of the health care environment under military operations.

The content and skills presented in this course are designed to assist doctors in providing emergency care for the trauma patient. The ATLS course provides the essential information and skills medical professionals can apply to identify and treat life-threatening, or potentially life-threatening, injuries under the extreme pressures associated with caring for patients in a fast-paced environment and the anxiety of the resuscitation room.
